Smart Chat Core v1.5

Open the note. Pick up the conversation.

Smart Chat Core still does one job: keep a supported provider conversation attached to the note it serves. Leave the note, close Obsidian, and come back later. The thread reference is still where the work is, instead of buried in browser tabs or provider history.

v1.5 preserves that deliberately simple workflow while the entire Smart Plugin suite moves onto Smart Environment v3.

Update all installed Smart Plugins together, then restart Obsidian. Smart Chat Core v1.5 requires Smart Environment v3.

The simplest Chat workflow stays simple

The note remains the durable home for the thread reference. The provider remains the home for its transcript. Smart Chat Core does not add another transcript store, model picker, or setup branch between you and the conversation.

Put the provider thread in the note that gives it meaning.
Reopen that note when you want to continue.
Keep the relationship between the conversation and the work without reorganizing either one.

A quiet but important upgrade underneath

Smart Environment v3 gets the suite ready faster and gives every current Smart Plugin one compatible shared foundation. That matters most when Chat sits beside the rest of the workflow: Connections, Lookup, and Context can start sooner, use a broader catalog of built-in local embedding models, and switch models without deleting the embeddings you may want to return to.
