Effortless Setup

Obsidian > Community Plugins > search "Smart Connections". Click Install, then Enable.

Automatic Indexing

The plugin privately embeds your vault with on-device AI. No extra installs, no API keys.

Access Connections features

  • Open: Connections view
  • Open: Lookup view (semantic search)
  • Open: Random note from connections (requires Connections view)

Use ribbon icons (left) or the command palette (center).
