Effortless Setup

Open Obsidian › Community Plugins › search "Smart Connections". Click Install, then Enable.

Automatic Indexing

The plugin privately embeds your vault with on‑device AI. No extra installs, no API keys.

Access Connections features

Use the ribbon icons or command palette to open the Connections view, Lookup view, or a random connection.

Understanding Connections

  • Current Note: Title of the file you are viewing. Results update automatically when you change notes.

  • Expand or Collapse: Show or hide result content. Use the toolbar button to expand or collapse all results.
